We are looking for an experienced hospitality and culinary professional dedicated to quality.

The Cull & Pistol Restaurant in Chelsea Market is looking for a strong leader and a great cook, with experience in kitchen administration and recipe development. Must be a responsible and hardworking individual who truly understands hospitality in a high-volume, multi-concept environment.

Your passion for managing your team must equal your passion for food.

Our Sous Chefs are responsible for:

Assisting our Executive Chef with kitchen operations, including restaurant, prep kitchen, lobster and raw bar operations

Menu development to include, planning and recipe testing/writing, costing, tasting, and sourcing

Team management - hiring, training, mentoring, coaching, and evaluating staff performance and accountability

Inventory management and food cost control

Other projects and assignments, as required

Our ideal Sous Chef should have:

5+ yrs professional kitchen experience and 2+ yrs management experience

Strong experience developing and managing a team

Ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced, multi-concept unit environment

Good time management and communication skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Understanding of NYC health department codes and conduct
