DSS is a global leader in delivering direct-to-consumer live and on demand entertainment at scale. By driving technological innovations in live sports and on demand video, the goal is to give global audiences the freedom to access Disney content on their terms across any connected device, time or location.
We are seeking a Senior Manager that will be responsible for pulling together the weekly and monthly KPI reporting for both the domestic and international Disney+ service. The reporting will include subscriber acquisition, subscriber health and content usage metrics. Data will be sourced from central data analytics team with the DTC finance team providing the economic overlay to optimize the service offering and report on overall subscriber acquisition and financial performance versus expectations. The weekly reporting will aim to provide both operational teams and executive management a snapshot of the regional and global highlights for the week across all KPIs and financial metrics.
More specifically, weekly reporting will recap first stream and total views of content drops, ranking of content views, wholesale/retail/bundle/individual signups, signups by platform, paid versus organic acquisition ratios, overall campaign success metrics as well as marketing expense by channel and overall customer service metrics.
On a monthly basis, the operational focused weekly reporting of the service results will form the basis for a longer-term view which compares relative success of initiatives; correlates marketing initiatives among the SVOD services within DTCI; compare regional/country results to assess if resources should be reallocated to maximize results, provide the readouts of A/B testing for business decision making purposes, as well as updates on product roadmaps.
The successful development and execution of the weekly and monthly reporting will require collaboration among the DSS finance, data analytics and operations team as well as regional business and finance leads for the product as well as an overall curiosity level to note observations that could be having an impact on the success of the service.
Develop the weekly and monthly decks that effectively communicates results, financial projections, KPI trends, drivers, relative business performance across geographies and platforms as well as potential risks and opportunities to leadership
Gain familiarity across all the financial planning models for the streaming service including, content spend, technology spend and paid marketing spend to provide a fulsome perspective on all levers of the business
Basic Qualifications :
5+ years of relevant work experience with video streaming company
Excellent modelling skills with a special talent to defend model assumptions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Very strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues
High level of proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel
Able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and resolve issues quickly without sacrificing quality
Skilled in distilling insights from data and synthesizing and crafting compelling presentations for executive audiences, both financial and non-financial
Able to maintain both a rigorous attention to detail and a big-picture, strategic mindset
Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize, and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
Required Education :
Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance
